ThermaSol goes full throttle with promo

ThermaSol® has put the pedal to the metal in 2012 with its latest promotion — License to Speed. The promotion will run from Feb. 11, 2012 to Dec. 9, 2012, with winners being chosen to drive ThermaSol’s “lemon” — a 1988 IROC-Z Camaro — in one of the 24 Hours of LeMons endurance races taking place nationwide throughout 2012.

24 Hours of LeMons is a nationwide series of endurance races for cars valued at $500 or less and a parody of the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. Entrants typically choose a theme for their race car; spectators can expect to see anything from a V8 Little Red Wagon Radio Flyer car to a DeLorean speeding down the raceway.

Anyone who has sold, specified, installed or purchased a ThermaSol Pro Series generator after Jan. 1, 2012, is eligible to drive ThermaSol’s Camaro, which comes complete with the company’s tattooed mascot, Sol, painted on the car. Winners will be chosen on a monthly basis and announced on ThermaSol’s Facebook page. Those who are chosen and do not wish to drive in the race can trade in their License to Speed for $500 cash.

ThermaSol will donate $1 for every License to Speed entry to the Wounded Warrior

Project, which provides support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. The company has set a goal of $10,000 to be raised by December 2012, with individual goals set at $500 per race. Drivers, fans and supporters are encouraged to visit www.thermasolracing.com to donate.

Northeastern opens new CDC

Northeastern Supply’s continued growth and commitment to benefitting its customers through investment and expansion has resulted in a move of its Central Distribution Center (CDC) to the Advantage Business Park, just off Interstate 95, at 504 Advantage Way, Aberdeen, Md.

“The new CDC will directly benefit our customers in many ways,” said Northeastern president and CEO Steve Cook. “We have planned the facility with technology that will streamline the distribution process and will result in greater accuracy in getting our product to the customers. Best of all, the added warehouse space allows us to expand the depth and breadth of our product lines.

“This poor economy won’t last forever, and I want to keep Northeastern Supply among the ‘Best of the Best.’ It also made real economic sense, as we were able to move from a 100,000-square-foot facility to a 176,000-square-foot facility for less money. We nearly doubled our capacity, upgraded our logistics processes, upgraded our warehouse management systems, improved our customer service levels, charted a solid path for the future of our company and saved money at the same time. That’s not bad and, in the end, it comes down to investing in our future to make sure we are doing all we can to make Northeastern our customers’ preferred supplier.”

Energy-saving faucet
www.kwc.us.com
The AVA single-lever basin faucet with COOLFIX technology offers an ingeniously simple way to save energy. With this award-winning technology, the “six o’clock” middle position of the faucet is designed “full cold”; no hot water is delivered in this setting, saving energy each time the faucet is activated. The only way to draw warm water — and use energy — is to rotate the lever clockwise and away from the middle position. The faucet also incorporates the Neoperl® Caché® aerator, which reduces water flow to 1.5 gpm, a 40% savings over conventional 2.5-gpm faucets. KWC.
